Designersblock 2012 is happening right now, underneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, until this Sunday 23rd September. These are my iPhone photos. (This page is in progress until I get quotes from the designers. If you know any of them, tell them to email me!)

Paul Bishop, Herzensbrecher ceramic hearts at designersblock

Paul Bishop – The New English

I’m all about marrying traditional ceramics skills and materials with a contemporary aesthetic, merging art with everyday objects. It takes zero energy to explain what plate a does, so why not put 100% into making it look beautiful? Designersblock is great for us. It’s a real opportunity for us to express ourselves and show off what we do, and there’s an impetus to develop new ideas. I loved spraying the big red heart. Oh, and the free beer – always a winner in my eyes! www.thenewenglish.co.uk
